Re:Introduction - 2007/11/17 07:42Hi everyone, I just found this teriffic forum - well, I got all excited and started posting away, suddenly , I remembered my manners and thought I had better introduce myself.
I live in N. Carolina, a really great place to live, but - *sigh* - not exactly the tropics, I'm afraid. I'm originally from Florida 'tho, so you might say that I have zone 10 roots.
I love growing most all sorts of plants, but tropicals are my particular passion.
I look forward to becoming a part of this community, thanks for lettin' me in.
Re:Introduction - 2007/12/07 18:20Hi all I am new to the forum, I was directed to this place because I have a flower I cant identify nor could a few hundred others trying to work out what it was..so someone suggested this place..I have so many unknown flowers in my garden so now I cant wait for them to flower so perhaps I can find out finally what they are ..
I do have one at the moment driving me bonkas..I have a post with pictures if you care to take a look .. I would really love to find out what it is
Re:Introduction - 2007/12/19 19:28Thanks for the nice welcoming words, Kihalani and you too, zwaluw, i'm sorry I missed your post before now, this site navigates slightly differently to some others I've used, and I'm only now learning how to "find my way back" to some threads that I lost track of.
I have this site set into my favorites, but it was set to bring me directly into the "Tropical Flowers" part of the forum, and I was missing new posts in the other two sections.
I like the Nag's Head area too, Kihalani, and enjoyed Norfolk when I visited there (many years back).
I live further down the N.Carolina coast, below the mouth of the Cape Fear River, about 30 miles south of Wilmington, not far from the border of S. Carolina. We don't get much snow here, though it's not unusual to see a light flurry once or twice a winter - real accumulation is rare. If we get any this year, I'll send it to you. *LOL*
Re:Introduction - 2007/12/27 10:26Hello, I'm Nyoman. I love birdwatching, trees, water and good food. I live in dry tropical north Queensland Australia.
Re:Introduction - 2007/12/27 13:40Hello Njoman, we already 'spoke' in the other thread, but I would like to say welcome and express my wish that I hope you will like it here
Re:Introduction - 2008/01/01 16:52Hi! I am Suzanne. I am residing in Maui for 5 months. I have always loved photography and recently started photographing the flowers on the island. I love how colorful they are. Unfortunately, I have zero knowledge of flowers. Through the previous posts, I am starting to learn a few of the flower's names.
Re:Introduction - 2008/01/05 03:32Hi again, Suzanne. Your flower photos are just lovely, from what I have seen. You are certainly living in a beautiful part of the world to see some of the most fantastic flowers and scenery!
Re:Introduction - 2008/02/09 12:02I am new to the forum, I was directed to this place because I have found a flower shops directory in which you can find flower shops all around the USA.
I think it’s a useful resource to share with buddies and you can also find addresses and phone number of florists of your city and also have a function of search by city, state, zip code, name, phone number. ............. Enjoy….
