What flowers are these? - 2009/11/04 15:44 I took these 2 in the course of my travels to Perth, Australia, and San Francisco, USA, but don't know their names. Can anyone help identify them for me>

I'm afraid that the pixilation of your photo in the post above makes it all but impossible for me to ID the flower with any certainty. It resembles a Zinnia, but there are other possibilities.
I looked at your other picture in the site photo album, and I concur with the ID that another member provided for you - the plant is in the Bromeliad family, but I can't be more specific.

What flowers are these? - 2009/11/07 08:50 Thank you for taking the time to help me identify the flower. I have since gone to the very large book on What Flower is This? which I bought from the Borders Bookstore, and saw the flowers close to the ones I took, one is a Zinnia, as you correctly said, and the other is a plant in the Bromeliad family.

The picture is not so clear but i can identify this flower, it looks like begonias.
