curious - 2009/10/09 03:25 has anyone seen hibiscus plants with flowers that bloom only at the stem and are smaller than a quarter?

Or any other miniature version of a bigger beautiful flower?

Re:curious - 2009/10/12 19:59 I don't know if this is like what you are asking about, and what your definition of a Hibiscus is, but this is the smallest "Hibiscus" I have seen. This is a wild one (if anyone could identify it, that would be nice) and one of those that the petals don't really open but the stamens and pistil protrude. I found it growing near Ixtapan de la Sal, Mexcio about a year ago (Oct. 4th, 2008 to be precise).

The whole flower would fit on a quarter, but without much to spare.

Again, I since I don't know how to put more than one picture in a post I will post the pictures in 5 posts.
