Caryopteris (Bluebeard) - 2006/12/20 22:11
Anyone else a fan of this plant? This is my first year to have it in the garden, & I LOVE it! (I had never even scene it before, until I poorly platned it based on a necessarily gardening plan recommendation.)
It looked nice as foliage all sumer, & than burst forth in to gorgeous deep blue late-September bloom. It looks good next to the hot-pink asters, that bloomed about the same time. I had no idea the
two Caryopteris x clandonensis plants (bushes may be?) would grow so well & look so good. It's nice to have commonly something work out unexpectedly like that, and also to know that I have an honest-to-goodsness long-blooming hardy perennial (I hope . . .).
