Hello there..check out my Bird of Paradise photo - 2009/06/21 14:53 Hi! My name is Charlie and I've been photographing flowers for about a year now. It's a wonderful way to relax. Here is an example of an Bird of Paradise flower I took recently at my local botanical garden. Hope you like it. I've posted many more on my free download website also.

Hello there..check out my Bird of Paradise photo - 2009/07/11 18:39 It is beautiful, Charlie. I also am a fervent flower photographer (though amateur) and I agree in what you say about it being relaxing

Re:Hello there..check out my Bird of Paradise photo - 2009/07/14 06:34 No Chazz, it's in a public (commonly shared by the housing building I live in) backyard
I thought it was a species of the Powderpuff but having seen buds of the Powderpuff (you know the Pink flowers) I am not so sure anymore now

Zwaluw if the tree has fruit I would suggest you try it. or break it open and smell it, if you smell roses than it is a rose apple. My uncle has a tree in his yard.

I believe that a well established Strelitzia regina would be reliably hardy in zone 9
... perhaps even in zone 8 with some very careful siting and extra protection in cold snaps.
Strelitzia nicolai, I believe, may be a wee bit more cold hardy.

Re:Hello there..check out my Bird of Paradise photo - 2009/12/07 21:47 Finally, after a few mishaps (lost the entire site once) and many hours, I've updated my free download flower photo site. Stop by when you get a chance. Once again, this is a free download site.

Thanks, Charlie
