Plant did not have identification!! - 2009/06/15 21:28 What kind of plant is this. I am posting the photos! It has kind of rubbery leaves and looks like a succulent. I do know it is tropical since it gave me that info on a sticker on plastic pot. I searched it on lowes.com and learn2grow without success. Please help me due to it is the only plant I have and dont know what it is... It also has purple undersides of its leaves as the second photo shows

It's a little hard to be completely sure from the pic,
but my best guess is that your plant is a variegated Tradescantia spathacea,
which has several "common" names, including
"Oyster plant", "Moses-in-a-boat" (or "Moses-in-a-cradle") and "Boat Lily".

Re:Plant did not have identification!! - 2009/06/17 17:30 Why thank you very much! That would be it! One of these days maybe I'll be able to help someone out the same way! And, I will do so since others have helped me. My father has been into horticulture my whole life and just recently after my wife and I getting our first house I got into plants so I could landscape the yard and make the inside more inviting. I will post pictures of all my plants, gardens, flower beds as soon as they are all done! Thanks again!

I got caught up at a very early age, my addiction was passed down from my mother and grand parents.
