Re:please help - fragrant flower - 2008/06/10 04:17That, I believe, is Cananga odorata - it is commonly called "Ylang Ylang" and the tree truly is tropical, requiring temperatures of 4.5°C/40°F or above.
I'll bet the fragrance was lovely, the essential oil from Ylang Ylang is one of the ingredients in numerous perfumes, including Chanel No.5.
