plz help me identify this plant - 2008/05/08 13:33hey all.
am new here.
this plant is growing in my mothers garden. she got it of a friend. whom said it was from south amerika. but i have no idear. this picture is from last year. the leaf's was 2.3 meters across. this year its bigger.
help me find out what it is. i have more pictures but need to find out how to add them too

and yes she is taking really good care of it. she cuts it all the way down to the root every winter. and covers it with straw and a frostresist blanket. and uncover it in springtime when we are past the nightfrosr
it just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year. i cant wait to see how big it can get...
