Re:Can anyone tell me what flower this is? - 2008/05/01 18:13 Hi mgregory,
The pic is a bit small for me to see it very clearly
( I scratched my right cornea a couple of days ago,
so that doesn't help much, everything looks pretty bleary)
but anyway, what I can see of the foliage makes me think
that it is a member of the Ranunculaceae family.

I'm taking a ( semi-blind) guess that it might be one of the double-flowering Anemone hybrids.

CLICK HERE to see what you think <--- It may not be this one exactly,
but you may be able to tell something by seeing the form of the plant
and the foliage.

** Sorry that I've been absent from the site lately zwaluw,
this ridiculous eye has been sooo sensitive to light -
even my laptop screen was painful to look at.

Re:Can anyone tell me what flower this is? - 2008/05/03 09:47 Zuzu How on earth did you do that? I hope your eye will recuperate fast and you will be able to see normally again real soon. Did your doctor give you any medication to speed up the process?

Re:Can anyone tell me what flower this is? - 2008/05/03 14:32 I am sorry about your eye as well. I hope it gets better. I must say though if you have that good of vision to discern the species of my flower and your not at 100% then normally you must have x-ray eyes. Have a great weekend!

Decarion from the picture it looks like night blooming cereus. Zuzu had some and it was nicknamed "Queen of the Night."

Your flower does look more pink than yellow so I am thinking it is the same one. There is also a yellow variety. Check out this thread:

And Yes they smell heavenly.
