Help identifying this plant - 2008/03/28 01:39

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could help me by identifying this plant. I think it is a Bromelia of some type, but I am probably wrong. Thanks for any help!

I agree with zwaluw, without being able to see any detail, it's hard to be certain,
but my first impression of your photo is that the plant is Clivia miniata.

Most varieties have flowers that are more orange-ish than red,
if the flowers of your plant are truly as red-ish as they appear in the pic,
I might guess it to be the hybrid called "Doris".
