Yes, to answer your question, that IS a Hibiscus flower
(Hibiscus rosa sinensis).
That one is a double or maybe even a triple, having lots of extra petals.
Sometimes, I have seen both singles and doubles growing on the same plant,
genetics can be tricky. *lol*

Is it possible? - 2009/01/16 18:21 Ahhhhhhh thank you, Zuzu!! I was so confused. I saw all these Hibiscuses growing in it and this also reminded me of an Hibiscus but didn't "fit the description". Thank you very much for that info

(my holiday was absolutely incredible, I have loved every minute of it. pity it passed so quickly )
