Identify this smelly plant please

I found this growing in my landscaping. It is fist sized, colored like the inside of a watermelon, is porous and smells really bad. In fact, there are flies all around it.
Any ideas?

Hiya Shappy
Well, that little jewel is definiely a fungus,
probably in the Phallaceae (
"stinkhorn") family.
Possibly Clathrus crispus, they are fairly common in FL,
but I'm only guessing,
have a look at this site and see what you think:

Zuzu, thanks! It is definitely a clathrus crispus, confirmed by that website.
The stinky little critter has since shriveled up and the smell is gone.
